Custom Classes: Creativity Breaks Just for You, Scheduled on Your Time
Get five people together and you can have your own workshop or team building event!
Any of the art workshops or creativity skills trainings I teach is available as a three-hour Customized Creativity Experience at your home or office! With enough advance notice, it is also possible to schedule events for small groups (12 or fewer) at the DIY Lounge at Collage (either SE Woodstock or NE Alberta locations), at Scarlet Star Studios, or at my own home studio The Hearth in SE Portland. What
better way to celebrate a birthday, a holiday, a wedding, a promotion, a new baby, a divorce, a Friday . . .
If the event is at your home or office, you
provide the food, the attendees, the chairs and work surfaces, and I'll
bring all the supplies, the instructional hand-outs and my own helpful self. I need a
minimum of five people to make it worthwhile. Charges start at $25 per
person, and go up from there, depending on the type of workshop.
Workshops scheduled at another site, such as DIY Lounge at Collage or my home studio The Hearth, also require a five person minimum. Tables and chairs will be provided, and there will be a surcharge for space rental, depending on the location. You can bring your own food and drink to these locations as well.

Anatomy of Creativity
I generally schedule custom events at least four weeks in advance. Custom events generally include three hours of active instruction and creativity time, and I need a 45-minute allowance before and after the three hour class for set-up and clean-up. Shorter events can be arranged, but the $35 minimum charge still applies. There is also a travel surcharge if your desired workshop location is outside of the Portland metro area (generally considered to be more than 15 miles/30 minutes out of the city center).
A 50% deposit, based on the total number of guests expected, is required to schedule the event. Final charges are based on the total number of attendees, with a minimum charge based on five attendees. In the event that the event is canceled by the client, only half of the deposit will be returned.
